Vertigo is a sensation of vertigo or imbalance. A problem with the inner ear typically causes it. However, it can also have other causes, such as BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo), Meniere’s disease, or an inner ear infection. In addition, strokes, tumours, migraines, head or neck injuries, and certain drugs have all been associated with vertigo. While vertigo is not a life-threatening condition in and of itself, a person suffering from it may have a diminished quality of life due to the sudden onset and prolonged duration of symptoms.

Vertigo is characterised by sensations of spinning, tilting, imbalance, being dragged in one direction, and swaying. Vertigo is occasionally accompanied by irregular eye movements, ringing in the ears, hearing loss, perspiration, headaches, nausea, and vomiting.

Therapy for Vertigo

Although various vertigo therapies are available in Singapore, they all come with their fair share of side effects and hazards. In addition, many do not target the fundamental cause of vertigo. As previously stated, vertigo is typically caused by inner ear issues. Internal ear issues, such as hearing loss, ear infections, and, yes, vertigo, are dramatically improved by chiropractic care.

Vertigo is caused by an accumulation of fluid in the inner ear, and the location where this accumulation occurs is nerve-connected to your higher cervical vertebrae. When these vertebrae are misaligned, the inner ear cannot function properly, including the drainage of the fluid associated with vertigo. When a chiropractor carefully and gently adjusts the upper neck to remove subluxations, adequate fluid drainage can occur, resulting in fewer vertigo issues. In addition, with regular chiropractic adjustments, your upper cervical vertebrae will have an easier time remaining aligned, resulting in a higher quality of life and respite from the pain and suffering of vertigo.

Chiropractic Care Has Relieved Vertigo in Others

While you may believe the science to be legitimate, we live in an age when “reviews” and consumer reports verify the information we’ve read independently. Thankfully, several records and case studies demonstrate that chiropractic care can reduce or eliminate vertigo problems in patients.

In one such study, eight BPPV patients were evaluated at six days, thirty days, and the conclusion of three months. All eight participants who received chiropractic adjustments over three months reduced their symptoms. Another study examined twenty patients treated for eight weeks. Again, most participants exhibited improved balance and reported decreased neck pain and vertigo.
